Pelargonium oblongatum (A year in the life of.)

In January the leaves emerge from the dorment tuber, by March the plant is in full leaf.
By the end of March the leaves have died back and the flowering stem has grown.
By mid April it has started to flower and by early May (when the next photo was taken.) it is in full bloom.
It usually blooms for 2 months or so before returning to dormancy until next winter.

Thankyou for the lovely comments, no other colours of this paticular species dottydaisy but there are other species pelargoniums that have a similar life cycle.
Hi Seaburngirl, as much light as possible in winter, some whitewash shadeing in summer.Temperature in winter minimum apx 5c ( dropped a bit lower in December!!)when flowers finished & seed collected in summer plant is allowed to dry out.

Lovely flowers: reminds me a little of triffidum in the colour. I love Geraniums and Pelargoniums.
It is really great to see the correct names being applied to the pants: it gets right up my nose when Pelargoniums are referred to as geraniums!
This winter, I lost my P.sidoides and P.abrotanifolium both of which had been happily growing on my raised beds for the past 3 years with no protection.
