A winter's walk

Not much to do in the garden at the moment so we went for a stroll to blow away the cobwebs. The reservoir is one of three linked together near Bolton and supplies Liverpool’s water. We were rewarded afterwards by a nice pub lunch. My nose has just thawed!

Was it a real heron ?

Well it was about 6 feet high so if it was there must be some special fish in there! :)

You've still got a lot of the 'white stuff' up there, then.
A lovely place to walk - Henry would have leapt straight in and spoilt those reflections! ;-))

It looks lovely scenery, and as others said, followed by a pub lunch, how great is that?
Your photos are very good too.
Tulsalady you are so funny. The heron looks like a skeleton - well I suppose it could still be real! Mr. Mad is always seeing rare birds etc and I go to look out and there is a plastic carrier bag caught in the branches of a tree!
