Lilies galore

Lots of luck with all those lovely bulbs, and have the magnifying glass at the ready for any pesky Lily beetles!

Just what I was going to say Sheila...Poppy knows I threw out all my Lilies because of the beetle last year....all except my favourite, that one I hid ;)

Have only repotted a few this year as last year I was infested with the little red blighters last year. I have however just planted a Tree Lilly which I have never grown before, in fact showing my ignorance I didn`t even know there was such a thing. So fingers crossed.

Oooh youre in for a treat there Stroller. Tree lilies which you now no doubt know, grow much higher than normal lilies. Its great for getting those lovely smells up nearer to our noses!
Well you dont get aught for nought do you Sheila and Pimp? You just have to be vigilant and take the little loves off every day. I love lilies so much I think its worth it. Dont forget to look for the young ones though, they hide in excrement....ughhh, on the undersides of the leaves.

Sorted some of my lilies but still have to find somewhere for my tree lilies & some giant lilies sent free with a plant order, may need to borrow some of your lily bed PoppyL!

I've got 12 asiatic lillies from a GW offer last year. Some in a lilly pot (no signs from them just yet) some in ordinary pots. Came back from my OHs and checked on them today, the one I swear is making a break for it. Heading for the sky lol. I'm sure its grow a couple inches since Friday :))

Can't wait for flowers, I love Lillies.

Oh I love lilies. Haven't grown them for several years. I'm hoping you'll show me yours when they flower lol

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. Ill show you all some more pics once they start flowering, which hopefully wont be too long and if I can keep the pesky lily beetles at bay....grrr!

Im on a diet too Pix, but just cant seem to give up cake entirely. Save it for afternoons out with friends....be rude not to!!! lol
