Plant Identity Any idea of what this plant is please

i reckon it is a pulmonaria. or it could be a brunnera but doesnt look quite the right shape for that.

I agree - it looks like pulmonaria - I found the name 'Spilt Milk', but not 100% sure it it is the same:)

I've added another photo - the leaves seem stiffer than my other pulmonaria and i was surprised its survived the frosts. The leaves are about 5 inches long.

It looks like Pulmonaria to me but that should be dormant by now and not hard & glossy.

That's what it must be Bulbaholic, thank you, that seems to be the general consensus - we've had some hard frosts here so I was surprised to find it, hence the question.

I'm not sure this is Pulmonaria - it resembles Pulmonaria 'Leopard', but these leaves seem too glossy and rather wider than most pulmonaria. Think you might just have to wait and see what it does, Dawnsaunt!

Does look like pulmonaria Dawn, mine still have all their leaves too, have brunnera jack frost too, definitely not same leaf they're more rounded.

i think it is pulmonaria there are alot of different varieties all ours have still got leaves on them too
we have a lovely variety called pulmonaria opal but this is not what you have
It definately isnt brunnera they are a few different varieties of these but none that i know that look like that
It looks like all the plants around it are wet
is it always glossey even when dry?

Vicky: The leaves are always shiny and quite, bristly.

What type of flower does it have is it like a forget me not or is it like a small lilly or ae they flowers of a pulmonaria (cant think how to descibe them lol)
There is a pulmonaria called 'majeste; which has glossy leaves but this is nothing like it as that has lots of silvering all over it and is sword shaped.
'trevi fountains' has similar markings but I dont think it is glossy I cant remember

oh I just though of something did you plant it there yourself
if not it could be a cross with your others did you mention you had others??/

You know what, I cant remember what the flowers are like, looks like I'll have to wait until the Spring.
Yes, I planted it, it was taken from my Mums garden. Thanks for your help. I'll update the question in Spring :-)

I will keep thinking and looking out for you but the flower in the spring will clinch it
maybe someone else will id it before then
I still favour a pulmonaria :)
