Advice please, what to plant against a fence between my house and my neighbours house. It's sort of a narrow alley, doesn't get alot of sun. I've tried a wisteria, then a hardy clematis but got worried about the roots so near the house so dug them out. Any ideas?

Try Passaflora.

Pilostegia viburnoides, Hydrangea anomala (syn petiolaris) and, as suggested already, Passiflora caerulea - no need to worry about the roots affecting your house either.

Thank you for your answers. It's given me some ideas which I'll look into. My main worry is that the roots don't affect my or my neighbours house.
