How do I kill ivy. I understand the leaves have a waxy protection against sprays. It is coming through from next door in 2 different places. Thanks Pamg. I will try the glycophosphate applicator as we already have one. I pressed the backspace by mistake, so this is why my thank your reply is attached here'''''''''shucks.

I get ivy coming through from next door ... damages my fencing ... a nuisance :o(((
Be careful handling it ... some people get allergic rashes on their hands from touching ivy ...

Digging it out is as easy as painting the leaves.

They are coming over the wall and through fences Steragram. From the back it is rented and empty for about 2/12, till a couple of days ago. Sprayed that with the last of a spray against ivy, now not obtainable. Next door is sheltered housing, so have corporate gardening, so I ask our garden helper to trim it as it peeps over the top of a tall wall. The left side neighbour usually gets rid of it anyway.

I take it all back Dorjac! I don't envy you that one. The ivy won't be doing the fence any favours so is there any future in approaching those responsible at the sheltered housing - if they realise it will hasten the time when the fence needs replacing they might take some action.
