Can you please advise a suitable climbing plant for a North facing wall Birmingham area. Rose is prefered, but others would be considered.

You could check out the David Austen rose site. and look up roses for partial shade. And there a number of lovely varieties on the site. Some climbing roses do quite well on a northerly aspect. and if you can see the sky at the point where you are going to plant it, then it is only partial shade.

I know there is at least one lovely yellow one that does OK on a north wall. there are some suggestions here
