Day One – Friday
I knocked this up quickly as a badge for GOY users. Well at least Rachel and I wore them! Unfortunately I didnt tell anyone else ….I like the scottish idea of using the logo top left – perhaps we should ask the Team to produce something for us?
We went to the show today in beautiful weather (for a change)
This is a view of the Castle
We saw metal sculptures
and camellias
and beautiful bonsai trees
and alstromerias
and wonderful bulbs
and aquilegias
and cacti
and I think this is a Protea?
Here is an auricula
The childrens wheelbarrow competition
The falcons and owls were there
and the Heuchera experts
There were three gardens which took my eye: the wooded garden
The urban garden
and the beautiful pastel garden – my favorite spot in the Show
and wonderful tulips
Then unfortunately, the battery on my camera failed, so thats your lot folks!
I hope this gave you a taste of the Show.

I have sent a comment to "the boys" asking if it is possible to have a "Diary Dates" page in the A-Z under "D" and asking about the logo/badge idea. I have also enquired if the seed exchange, which seems to be causing no end of perplexity, could be placed on the A-Z under "S" .

~ badges would be a good idea even if we have to buy them, it would be nice to have something official~ I looked for you Rachelsmum but we didn't get there until 12.30 as we had to go somewhere in Cardiff bay first to pick something up~
~stayed until 4.30 and had a lovely day~wasn't the weather gorgeous!
I think we had about 200 photos and put just a selection on~ but yes! you need a spare battery!

So many breathtaking moments Rachelsmum I think my heart would be failing. I just kept saying Wow! to all of your photographs. I love the idea of the childrens wheelbarrow competition. PS your badge is very pretty. We used the logo because it was instantly recognisable. I did not stop to think that there might be a problem of copyright attached to it but there could be. I was thinking more of free advertising of the benefits of the site. Many people especilly older people like myself are very wary of becoming involved in web sites and the internet because of the security problems which might arise.
