How lovely, will they survive in pots and are they hardy......I,m thinking of using more hardy perennials (hardy geraniums too) and less bedding plants after the awful weather.......

Oh Pam I am interested to if they would grow in pots .

I hoped for that too Scotkat its so disheartening, sleety hail on and off all day today......

these are fascinating! I've got the usual red and yellow ones, but will definitely look out for some of these gorgeous varieties!

Thanks for all the kind comments.
Scotkat and PamG, yes they are most definitely hardy, and would be fine to grow in pots. I have bred and selected from natural crosses over fifty new varieties, and all grow and thrive up here in Cumbria no bother whatsoever, they have come through the last few winters without any problems and i have'nt lost any. Tough as old boots they are as the saying goes. Lots more new ones on the way next year.

A lovely display. Definitely plants to keep looking out for with our winter weather.

I've also started adding more perenials and especially spreading plants in the last couple of years, I didn't realise how many geums there are to choose from.
They are all lovely and its hard to choose a favourite, I've added the blog to my faves for future ref and always appreciate the members naming the plants, I am terrible with the names so thankyou for sharing..

Thanks Red, its nice to try something new like this

They're gorgeous - really like geums but I do confuse them with some potentillas. Unlike you, I have lost a few, including Mrs Bradshaw and 'Arc en Ciel' or is that a potentilla?

I have just bought my very first geum called 'Lemon Drops.' It is pretty but the flowers are tiny. I shall have to go for something more eye catching next time I think. I love your unnnamed one.

I also brought some from you late last year and there doing really well i love them all love that yellow one .....

They can become a bit addictive, Wildrose - like heucheras!

Sounds like you've got an inferior version of lemon Drops Wildrose, the Lemon Drops I have is the deeper Yellow version which has bigger flowers than the paler version.
Not unnamed anymore have decided to call it Roger's Rebellion.

Great name for a very attractive plant.
Don't know why but I haven't had much success in growing geums, pity because they are lovely plants. They don't survive winter, yet they are hardy!?!
