Garden Visiting

Friday evening a couple of weeks ago I spent a very pleasant couple of hours wondering round 2 local gardens who had opened for the NGS scheme. Both gorgeous gardens – I’m green with envy lol – but very different in style and feel.
The first garden I went into was number 23. The owner had crammed an enormous amount of plants in the garden, along with 2 ponds, 2 greenhouses and a lovely little open sided garden room where they were serving wine.
Glass of wine anyone?
Hope you enjoyed the stroll around the garden. I’ll save the photos from the second garden for another post.

Stunning indeed. I've put it in favourites to go back and look at it again, a bit at the time though as there's so much of interest. I love this kind of garden.

With a garden like that I'd be wanting to share it every day!

Glad you've enjoyed the walk with me. It is an amazing garden, so much included (although it helps that it is a big garden).
Karen I've found loads of inspiration, just need a bigger garden to fit it in lol.

What a beautiful garden, something to aspire to and inspire too. All those arches, must be a picture when they are all covered in blooms. Immaculate stepping stones and gravel, it always impresses me to see them so sharp (looking at our thin gravel and weeds), someone spends many, many hours keeping this so beautiful!
Thank you for sharing your outing. I adore the open days when you can wander around other gardens.

Hywel, it was lovely. I couldn't help but smile as I wondered.
Honeysuckle, I'm sure the arches are beautiful in bloom. They open again later in the year so may try to go back to see it in summer. One of the other visitors I spoke to said it looks different again in summer.

Samjp I always love looking round ngs gardens It often inspires me to try something new, there`s plenty to look at here but as most of the photo`s have come out sidewards on I shall copy them into my pics file and turn them round.

Jen it was lovely, just a shame it kept trying to rain lol.
Stroller, oops I can't work out why it keeps doing that. Even when I've loaded the photos via my laptop come out sideways - despite being the right way up on the laptop lol.

Beautiful garden Sam, I could wander around there for ages admiring and gathering ideas, I love a garden that encourages you to keep looking and finding its hidden treasures...

I thought the same Lincs. I must have walked round three times before I left. So many different points of interest and hidden gems.

Thanks Sam, I enjoyed that tour very much. Huge areas of interest in there...so much to see. Did you bring home any ideas for your own garden?
