Hi Guys,
at last the men came and put the new fence in today, i had asked them to leave one panel as my costance is blooming well at the moment, so asked them to leave us the panel and once constance has finished flowering baz can pop the new panel in.
it looks great and so nice to get our privacy back and looking neat again.
glad i had got home at lunchtime when they came and was able to stop a few plants getting chopped grr
i had asked them to be carefull when placing the panels in, some of my plants were leaning over to next door, well i watched from the window and on 3 occasions i had to leap across the grass, saying hang on… let me just hold the plant back, do they actually care that we spend months making our gardens look lovely and spend good earned money on plants,, no i doubt it very much.
anyway with my expertise on supervision lol all went to plan.
when i got home tonight from work i gave the grass its first cut even though baz said it was to wet,,, hello baz,, who is the gardener in this house lol
was a bit wet but i gently tread and mowed, just waiting for baz to trim the edges,,, still waiting, had dinner taken pics and now bloging,, where`s baz, umm sat next to me checking ebay and watching eggheads, i will hint in a few mins haha
lovely and sunny here at last so the grass should start to dry out now its shorter and the air can get to it.
hope to get the fence painted sunday all being well, going for joe saturday so thats an all day trip but cant wait, hope you have all enjoyed your day, here`s a few pics, nothing much but new fence, lovely pale lemon tulips open, but seem to have lost alot of bulbs over winter, will have to buy more.
constance looking lovely so took another pic, and pond area growing nicely to ;o))

another nice thing happened today, we got our travel tickets etc for hols on the 4th may woohoo, a relaxing sunny week in Benidorm :o))

7 Apr, 2011

I think so too. I have been painting my pergola green today, only half way through, but should finish it tomorrow

7 Apr, 2011

takes longer than you think cinders but worth it ;o)

Constance is a real stunner! Love the new fence.
Your garden is looking very pretty. I spent the day digging up roots and pulling out scrub. By the end of the afternoon I have a patch 8ft by 5ft nice and clear and just to make me feel better I planted a couple of plants that will flower soon.

Oh by the way, I added a photo of my framed orchid the other day did you see it.

gorgeous fence Sanbaz and garden to boot - lovely :):) Made me laugh thinking of you darting up saving plants :D

Love your fence San, Very Posh Looking, If i got new fencing, i would choose the same, Lovely. Pity about the workmen not respecting your plants! My husband is worse, if wer'e changing anything near plants, im there!!! I dont trust him whatsoever, typical builder lol..your garden is sprouting up and looking gorgeous as usual, if you dont mind me saying, I can see a huge difference since you joined GOY, you seem more confident and it shows in your garden, planting, and design..oooh isn't it an exciting time of year for us :)

7 Apr, 2011

looks very smart San:o)))

7 Apr, 2011

Sandra, your garden looks so lush, beautiful in fact! :)))))

7 Apr, 2011

The fence looks great sandra and so does the rest of your garden. Had to smile about your grass being too wet to cut as the ground here is like dust and I've just been out for an hour with the hose. Everything is looking a bit wilted in the very warm sun. All the leaves need some rain to open properly. Men at work in gardens need constant supervision, be they paid workmen or husbands, brains not connected to feet most of the time! LOL

thanx sue, you hav edone well with your new border and nice to plant new things, will go look at your pic to ;o))

Your new fence certainly sets your garden off Sandra. What colour are you going to paint it ? When I get mine Number 1 son has said he will put it up for me so as soon as funds become available I'll let him know.

7 Apr, 2011

Snap, Sanbaz, I cut my wet front grass for the first time today too! Your garden looks lovely and it certainly does make a difference to privacy having a good fence. I really enjoy being in my own little space :)

7 Apr, 2011

Love your new fence, what a difference it has made, good luck with the painting.

7 Apr, 2011

Your garden looks nice with everything growing now. I hope the lawn got done eventually lol
I don't know why but some people (esp workmen) are blind when it comes to plants. I just don't think they are able to see them lol. But your fences look nice. I'm glad you were there to keep an eye.

Looking fabulous Sanbaz...worth all the stress, at least they know how to put a fence up properly ! Very frustrating though, having to watch their every move. And, hey Baz..have you done those edges yet ? Lol ;D

9 Apr, 2011

I would rather go the long way, than on motorway San! What a real sweetie Baz is! That's worth a nice dinner (takeaway) and a couple of beers! And Joe... listen up now.. you owe a few days gardening for the pickup from uni! LOL! You all got back safe and sound, that's the main thing! x

9 Apr, 2011

Great fence sandra, like your choice of colour green will show of the flowers a treat when its done. Green seems to be in at the moment have painted our bench green today.

9 Apr, 2011

yes i would rather the long way helen, hate motorways, im a nervous wreck on them, baz has had a couple of drinks and a nice soak and very tired.
joe said he is going to cook for us to show off his skills in the kitchen, he must take after both me and his dad, his dad was a chef and i come from a home cooking family lol
he is going to be working at the village garden nursery while home, so he is pleased they are taking him back, but he doesnt mind helping me if i need it helen :o)

9 Apr, 2011

thanx stroller, i love green fences they do go well with plants your right. :o))

9 Apr, 2011

That's a good couple of guys you have there San! That was excellent Joe getting his job back, he'll be pleased with that result!

My Mother, Sisters and my Daughters are FAB cooks, everything gets made from scratch, and tastes gorgeous! Then... there's me... no more to be said!!LOL!!

9 Apr, 2011

lol helen, i love cooking and like your family all from scratch, i cant bare frozen prepared meals or anything convenient, baz on the other hand would eat chinese every night given the chance but i make him eat his veg hahaah, joe gone off to work first day home bless, but he loves it there and loves the money to ;o))

10 Apr, 2011

I love veg, salad, fish, chicken and homemade soup. I try to eat salad everyday, even with fish or chicken. I do cook healthy food, but it taste better when the others cook it! If I could get out of cooking I would. I draw the like at cooking pork or lamb, "yuk" - if they want any of those, then they have to cook it themselves! I like chinese and indian but don't think I could eat it every night! Glad Joe likes his job, it's awful having to work somewhere you don't like!

10 Apr, 2011

helen you do eat healthy, i love chicken and fish myself and love salads to, i have to be careful with having IBS, meat really doesnt agree but occasionally i do crave some, but no red meat, not looking good here weather wise today, cloudy and trying its best to rain i think, well it was nice while it lasted ;o))

11 Apr, 2011

San,I was just looking at the clematis 2nd last photo, and thought I'd love a dress that colour!

11 Apr, 2011

would be lovely helen lol, would have to take a flower and match it up with fabric, :o)

12 Apr, 2011

Can you imagine the look on the person's face in the fabric shop, when you turn up with a clematis and say can you match this up please? LOL! I think, one of those plain shift dresses with a little bolero type jacket to match, would be gorgeous in that colour and very smart!

San I've just realised, it's the pink clematis on this blog! I'm talking about the blue clematis on the other blog!! LOL! The pink one's nice too, for a dress! LOL!

12 Apr, 2011
