Hi Guys,
firstly we picked my lovely son joe up from lampeter uni in wales on saturday, set off at 5pm as its a good 4/5 hours drive depending on stopping and traffic.
i so enjoy the run especially at this time of year, the hills glowing with green, the trees in bud and the lambs in the fields, so took a few pics, nothing much as its hard traveling at 70 miles an hour and taking pics lol, not driving mind.
anyway its great to have joe home and he was straight into work at the nursery this morning, well done son ;o)
Today i went shopping first thing then into the garden, a bit of snipping and weeding while baz put my new bird station together which my brother got me in january for my birthday, dont worry i have been feeding the birds with my old station which is now at the fence behind the garage between me and my neighbours.
My new one i have placed in a large pot with white pebbles on top and new feeders, looks great so hope i get the birds coming closer to the house now, its on my patio,
also took a few close-up flowers to brighten the day,
hope you all have had a nice weekend to and enjoying the summer sun even though its spring, hope its not come to early, i would love a sunny summy this year

better go back out and do some more gardening now while the sun shines, isnt it great to be alive :o)))

Lovely photos, Sandra! The one of the birds reminds me that I saw a small flock of these on Saturday morning as I was returning home after accompanying my wife to work. I was coming down the footpath when all of a sudden 4 or 5 or 6 birds suddenly burst out of the trees & the undergrowth to my right & flew around me. I was able to catch a glimpse of them on a tree branch before they took off on their mad flight again! :-))

Hope you enjoy your time with your son. :-)) Our youngest son came over from Spain with his wife two weeks ago & spent 4 days with us. ;-)) It was good to see him again! My wife & I shall be returning the visit at the end of the month - again just 4 days! We will see our other son as well as my in-laws.

You have some lovely flowers blooming in your your garden San and the bird bath looks great. It nice when the children come home what ever their age. Enjoy the weather while it lasts, the forcast is that we are going to have a cooler weeek ahead. But then the warmer weather is appreciated more when it comes.

Lovely pics of the hills, and how gorgeous is that lamb? You have a fair bit of colour in the garden already. I love what you've done with the bird feeding station, San. I have the same sort and a mini-forest from spilt seed is growing in the border beneath it. : o (( ... Don't have the heart to move it as a Dunnock and a Wren hide in the greenery behind it and they flit in & out so fast. Good for you to see Joe again ... enjoy his company over the Easter break. : o ))

14 Apr, 2011

thanx shirley, glad you enjoyed the pics, the birds arent coming to the new feeder yet, but will give them a bit of time and if not will move further down the garden, but would like it to be close to house for viewing.
i was the same before with a mini forest beneath lol
love dunnocks and wrens so sweet. joe is great and i love having him home such good company, enjoy your easter to shirley whatever it brings :o)))

15 Apr, 2011

Lots of tidying in the garden, San! The new low wall is in, the pond is in too, just leaves a heck of a messy lawn and lots of plants to put back. Getting there, slowly! : o ))

15 Apr, 2011

sounds great shirley, cant wait to see it :o)) all .takes time but worth it.

15 Apr, 2011

I hope so, San! Have just brought 4 trays of plants home from Mums greenhouse, all grown from seed, so I'm very grateful to her for watering them! : o )

15 Apr, 2011

15 Apr, 2011

We really enjoyed North Devon & Cornwall, San, can't believe we've been back a week already! Mum has 3 Tomato plants to put in a Gro-bag in her greenhouse as from today, it keeps her motivated and mobile walking down the garden path ... lol!

15 Apr, 2011

16 Apr, 2011

I think Mums always take something when they visit their children ... until they're married ... then it's 'fend for yourself' now!' : o ))
