my brother and his family went home friday and bourght me a lovely strawberry pot to say thankyou for having them, which is lovely, they didnt get any plants as they couldnt get anything from B&Q, also they didnt know where the nurserys were in my area, but thats no prob, it was a nice gift anyway,
i love the colour and wondered what i was going to plant in it,strawberry i have and have also been a flop lol, so on my way home from work today called in at our local nursery, they had some lovely heathers and new pansy`s in, so thought they would look nice till next year then i can try either strawberries again or maybe herbs, so here is my finished pot
hope you like it as much as i do, every time i look at it now will think of my lovely week with my brother and family

Lovely pot San, your brother has good taste and also better to get it empty so you can have the fun of choosing and filling it yourself. Good choice of plants too, you will have something to look at during winter and also to think of your brother. I think I would rather have flowers than strawberries too.

Lovely pot Sandra and a good reminder of your family visit. Did you not get many strawberries this year because they were first year plants or are they plants from previous years

Thats great Sandra - we have some runners coming off our first year plants so I will be planting them up before too long and trying to find a space for them and the main plants to keep over the winter. You soon run out of space don't you

yes ive planted some runners up hope they survive the winter, and yes soon run out of space, never enough space lol
