the revamped conifer bed

As you may know the conifer bed had to be stripped and redone.
well a lot has changed in the last month or two. lots of photos hope you don’t mind.
first planting Easter time

this week

Primula viallii, I have planted about 18 of these in and around this bed.

Hardy garden orchids: a childhood favourite.

Leucothoe ‘rainbow’ lots of new growth and flowers. really pleased with the way it has settled.

A lovely Aconitum ‘alba’ towards the back of the bed.

The rose arch has Zephrine Drouine and sweet peas on one side and a white climbing rose and the name escapes me with a Clem ’Lady bird Johnson up the other.

It looks too full now and will need tweaking later in the year.

It's filled out very nicely, and you have a good variety of plants in there. I like the arch and bird bath in the centre too :o)

thank you for the lovely comments. I have allsorts in the bed and there is something growing that I have no idea what it is. I will have to put it on a question later.

The bed obviously loves the viallii - ive never been able to grown them. Those orchids are amazing, I know we have wild ones, but never considered we could put some orchids in a flower bed. But most of all I LOVE the aconitum - truly stunning and, I would think, an absolute must for a white bed!
Really elegant and strong arch you have there, looks real quality!
Dont forget to post another picture in couple months time Sbg
