Joy in the conservatory.

I have several plants that live all year round in the conservatory. But my favourites are these 5 cyclamen. they are scented too. I have had them for many years and apart from watering and the odd feed they are trouble free.
I have many indoor ones as well as garden ones. I hope I have gained a C.coum ‘alba’ in the spring.

There is just something about them isn't there? Easy to see why you are so fond of them.

Didn't know there are scented ones - what a bonus. No wonder they are favourites.

I find in this rainbow mix [according to the original labels] only these pink forms are scented. it is very delicate and sweet.

They're lovely and I had no idea some were scented.

How lovely!

They cheer up the winter don't they. I have some but they're not doing very good this year. Nice to see yours doing well :)

check them for vine weevil Hywel. I lost my mum's 20yr+ corm. it was 8" or more in diameter but it was eaten all out. I was so sad to lose it.

Thanks. I'll have to do it. I lost some to VWs last year :(

Gorgeous I can see why you like to spend time in there, a great view of your garden and very pretty plants with a nice smell also, I've only recently noticed you can get ones with a perfume, my youngest always grows them indoors, I think our house gets too warm as they don't last here....Cyclamen envy Seaburn...

Lovely, SG.
We hadn't realised that some cyclamen are scented until we walked into a greenhouse in Ashwood Nursery Kingswinford. The plants were so pretty and the perfume a real bonus. We had to buy some.
Our garden ones aren't doing badly though some of the ones under the trees are getting bogged down by wild arum. The latter love our garden!!

Those Cyclamen look very healthy, SB! They are a lovely colour of pink as well! ?
My son bought some plants from a German supermarket in town last year & they did really well during the summer & autumn, but when we took them out of their summer containers I found the pink ones had lots of WV eating the roots away. We cleaned them all off - including what remnants of roots they hadn't got around to finishing & repotted them in fresh compost. When I last saw them, just before Christmas, it seemed they had survived. But only time will really tell. The white ones in the same containers appeared to be untouched - strange! ?

if they have put on new growth you have managed to save them. well done.

I don't know about new growth but some leaves seem to have survived at least which I hope will mean the little corms have managed to survive!
