The Hardy plant society AGM

On March 30th the East Yorkshire group of the HPS is hosting the national AGM.
I am propagating plants for the members table and I will be manning the plant sales table on the day.
The venue is at Bishop Burton near Beverley, East Yorkshire.
If you are interested in attending then the HPS newsletter has the forms to send off to get your ticket. It is ticket only.
So if you are members of the HPS and fancy a trip to ’God’s own country’, I’d love to say hi.

As a member I attend our local meetings, but Yorkshire rather too far to go.

our members table took over £600. we had well over 160 members attend. some as far away as Cornwall and Scotland. we had 2 wonderful speakers Christopher Grey Wilson, talking about poppies of the world and Andy McIndoe talking about shrubs: plants for every garden. Both were very informative and also entertaining. it had been a long day as I was there from 6.45 and left at 5.30.
we had spent a long time organising it so it was wonderful that it all came off without a hitch.
On a personal note I had an 'old' epimedium and fern identified for me.
