Some of you will know my husband lost his best friend a few weeks ago a very sad time, i wanted to get something for the garden in his name, he was a great lover of nature, animals plants etc., and i saw this ornament actually on here in the garden shop, it caught my attention and decided to buy it, its called ‘Mother Nature’, which seemed appropriate, it arrived this morning and after walking round the garden with it putting it in various places i decided on just outside the lounge picture window, here she is in situ
The garden is looking lovely at the moment apart from a ‘few’ ahem weeds! where do they all come from? I just get rid of some and go out a few days later and lo and behold there are even more of the flipping things!!!! If only some of the plants were as well growing!
My Clematis called Piilu ‘little duckling’ has a double flower this year never had this before its the only one on it, don’t know wether its a fluke of nature or i will get more like it in years to come, it really needs a bigger pot and come next spring i am going to re pot it, it is pretty though.
i pulled out loads of goose grass down the bottom under the plum tree, bit of a problem area, and lots of brambles keep appearing plus nettles! Got most of them out today i really would like to start again under there but ill health at the moment prevents me from doing so, i’ll just try and keep on top of the weeds for now, see how i am in spring.
Hope you are all enjoying your gardens :o)

The sculpture is very attractive, SK and fits in very well, a lovely tribute to your friend. Can it be used as a bird bath too?
