well what odd weather, today has been dull and rainy and now its warm and sunny, yesterday was muggy (I hate muggy weather) the roses are hanging their heads because of all the heavy rain, other flowers are a bit battered too :o(
Walked round this evening to see whats what bit soggy underfoot but its turned into a lovely evening.
as you can see from the rain gauge we’ve had a lot of rain!!!
I love this rose growing up the arch have no idea what its called, it was in another part of the garden but never did very well seems to like it on the archway
the clematis is at the front door, now last year it was blue ! but I think whats happened is I planted two in one pot this year the white one has taken over, well that’s my theory! very pretty though.
the baskets are coming on nicely now beginning to fill out, there are some fuschias in amongst the petunias looking forward to them flowering. Managed to get the grass cut on Wednesday before it poured with rain, garden looking green and fresh so the rain has a purpose!!!
Hope you are all enjoying the fruits of your labours too :o)

Your baskets are lovely S'killa, I sowed a full packet of new petunia seeds weeks ago and would you believe they are useless, at the rate they are moving they'll be ready to plant out at xmas, I used the same compost as my others which are all ok so can't blame that, I agree the clematis is lovely, I have lost my new blue one to wilt, it was ok one day and gone the next, a bit of a disappointment but Mr President is doing well, I think your lovely rose is the same one as mine, absolutely gorgeous and the blooms are huge this year, I'm sure the name is Handel..
As to the weather,WELL!!!!!! what can one say, we had three not bad days this week even wore shorts but still turning cold at night, now thats a record for the last two years ,lol, all changed Thursday with hours of very heavy rain, dull yesterday but warm and today although gorgeous upon getting up it soon clouded over, keeps trying to rain and now its very windy and flipping cold outside....You are so right, ITS WEIRD!!!!!

Your garden is looking good despite this terrible weather .

Your garden looks lovely this summer. I think the rose you don't know looks like Handel.

Think Hywel's right about the rose. How lush your lawn looks, SK. Your baskets do indeed look good. We've had funny weather the last few days too; very muggy today and yesterday at times, then cold and wet, back to bright sunshine, then grey and dismal and dark far too early - all very confusing.

Very nice...your lawn looks great!
Very cold and windy here recently, too!Causing havoc in my garden! Very cold again today and no more than an hour sunshine this evening! oh well, soon be Christmas!!

What I hate is the way that, just when everything is crescendoing to perfection, the wind sneaks up overnight and wreaks havoc. Strong winds really stress me out. A gentle breeze is lovely, but strong winds do so much damage.

That is a lot of rain in the gauge, SK - we haven't had much here but wish it was warmer. Today has been lovely, just right for gardening so I made the most of it. Your hanging baskets are beautiful, something I never do and I really should make the effort.
