Amazing service from Plant World Seeds!

This pic is nothing to do with my story, I just thought you’d like it because I do!
Some websites are good, some not-so-good, but this time my experience was very positive, so decided to share it with you.
Earlier this year I sowed seeds of Malva sylvestris from www.plant-world-seeds.com and the picture on the packet is of a luscious purple/red, with the flowers looking quite shiny (I did have a photo of it on my computer until recently, but it’s no longer there, otherwise I could have shown you). Anyway, I germinated enough to give away some seedlings to friends, but we were all disappointed when they flowered with rather insipid lilac/pink flowers more like our native wild Malva.
This morning I wrote to ‘Ray’ at Plant World Seeds explaining the situation, and WITHIN TWO HOURS he had replied with sympathy, a detailed possible explanation, and the offer to send more cleaned seeds, and add another variety too! When I thanked him, I said that such excellent service is quite rare, so I really appreciated it, and said that I would spread the word!
A picture of our garden taken from an upstairs window in June, to thank you for joining me :))

That is really good to hear. They deserve your plug, and it's good of you to follow up. Mind you, being part of GoY makes it worth the effort.
Both photos are lovely, but I particularly enjoy the one of your garden.

And I liked the pretty flowers, was the problem at their end with the seeds?

Yes have to agree that Plant World customer service is second to none = would not buy seeds anywhere else. Have rarely had a failure with germination (and I am the world's worst at seed sowing).

Thank you Susanne - yes!
Thanks Pam . . . the answer was that their picture was misleading, but 'Ray' has already posted a replacement, so next year's flowers will be interesting . . .
That's good to know, Wendy, and good customer service always makes sense: I shall certainly be using them in future!

I agree too I've used Plantworld for many years and never been disappointed with their seeds and always plenty of them too!!, so many lovely unusual seeds to choose from, the mixed packets of salvias and campanulas are great if you have a lot of space to fill I got so many different varieties, you've got me going now I haven't ordered this year off to look right now ;-)

Sorry to have led you astray, Simbad . . . temptation is impossible to resist!

I used them for the first time this year, and my order arrived very quickly.

I do like the colour of the wild Malvas very much though. Your photo is lovely - would never have thought of mixing campion with anything on purpose - its a weed here! But it looks beautiful with the pale blue.
thank you for the info on Plant World
Seeds - I hadn't heard of them before. What amazing service!

Just looking at your garden makes me feel peaceful and rested.

Stera - thanks - yes, I suspect I exaggerated somewhat about the wild Malva! I was thrilled with the blue/grey Aquilegia, especially when it decided to mingle with the Campion - a happy accident :)
Thank you Loosestrife - you say the kindest things :)

Simbad put me on to Plant World Seeds - they are good and I've emailed Ray with queries in the past and now and again they'll give you a code for 10 per cent off future orders. :-)

I bought some seeds from them this year for the first time, I was pleased with the quantity and the quality of the plants I grew from them, nothing worse than ending up with duff seeds, I shall certainly use them again..
Very nice photo's Sheila, your garden is looking good.....

That's great! You only find out how good customer services are when things go wrong. Glad you got it sorted out. :)
