. . . as you will see! I thought I would take one of my Carex elata Aurea (Bowles Golden Sedge) to show Shirley tulip, and then got distracted and took a few more.
Hakonechloa macra – greener than it looks
LH one begins with ‘j’ (Junker?!) and Uncinia
Jasmine ‘clotted cream’
Quite pleased with the Godetia from seed this year
Purple phlox
Perennial sweet pea, looking JUST like one put up with a question by Bathgate . . .
It’s been lovely and warm, so supper in the garden AGAIN this evening, followed by watering all the pots!

Hi Shirley - thank you! And thanks so much for the name of the Juncus grass, I do like grasses. My three Golden Sedge are dotted along the front of a semi-shaded border where the soil is quite a dry, and it doesn't seem to mind! Glad you have some Godetia too . . . :)

Very nice Sheila......I had that clotted cream Jasmine (bought a few years ago from gardeners world magazine) it had finally after a slow start, got going(it smelled gorgeous) and then I moved!!!!

I love Bowles Golden Sedge. In my garden its in heavy clay, in part shade under taller things, sometimes very wet, but doing very well.

Hmm, I think some 'golden grasses' could be just what I'm looking for. Just posted a photo of my Godetia plants, grown from seed.

Great - I will have a look now, Shirley :)

Thank you Susanne!

Your photos look fine to me too, Sheila. I especially like the sweet pea & the jasmine, do you cut it back after it flowers?

Thanks Gf. I'm blushing to say that I can't remember cutting back the jasmine, but I'm not sure!

I love your grasses too,Sheila..but my Uncina in gravel died off this year..it had no roots at all when I pulled lightly at it..luckily,it has seeded in a border :o)Your Jasmine is beautiful..and it seems a few of us have been successful with Godetia this year..mine are only just coming into flower from last years saved seed..

Thanks Sandra . . . glad your Uncinia has found its own way of surviving, and you have Godetia too :)

Oh thanks Sheila, now that I have removed some 'anonymous pink geraniums' there is a fair bit of bare ground to fill. I think the Bowles Golden Sedge is lovely but doubt it will thrive in a dry-ish site. The grass beginning with J is Juncus, very attractive too.
I also sowed some Godetia seed, very dark pink and short, pretty though!
Your Jasmine is fabulous :o)
