More autumn . . . while it lasts :)

I had been thinking about Dawnsaunt’s Acer griseum, so walked up the garden to see if ours had changed colour yet, and it had. So while I was there with the camera, I took a few more random snaps . . . but as usual, my photos are not very good!

Mixture . .

Ceratostigma – flowers are really a much more vibrant blue than shown in the photo

Cotoneaster bonsai with some tiny berries

Mini olives on Olive bonsai!

Prunus kojo-no-mai with autumn colour

Acer griseum!

Hope you are all keeping warm :)

Well I can see nothing wrong with your colourful photos Sheila! Lovely to see so many different shades. Those Olives look wonderful.

Quite cold down here, but the sun is shining so the frost has gone. Vine leaves are falling and Blackbirds are coming in for the Grapes :o)

Thank you Shirley for your kind comments! Yes, very cold today, but sunshine too, and the leaves are coming down like rain . . .

A beautiful red, arent they Sheila. Although if the temperatures keep dropping I will have no leaves left, so cold here. You have some lovely plants.

Sheila, are you finding your photos are losing quality when you upload them onto here? I have found this just lately. My last photos were really crisp on the computer and then when on here werent so.

Thank you Paul!

Yes Dawn, they're a lovely red with shades of bronze - thank you?. Our leaves are coming down in showers. I'm not good with a camera, but I can't blame this site - even on my computer the colours look paler than they should.

Lol Sheila. Its probably just your settings. Mine is set to 'idiot proof'.

The second photo is really pretty and sort of dreamlike - if you hadn't said I'd have thought it was an "atmospheric" shot that you'd done on purpose. You're brilliant at bonsai - how on earth do you have the patience? Love the little olive tree.

Lol Dawn . . . that's just what I need :)

Thanks very much Sue! I'm not a patient person at all, but as I have more than a dozen dwarf trees (OK, bonsai), they each only get a very little attention when they need it - which isn't often - in fact they are mostly neglected! They are not 'wired' which is what the professionals do: I just prune them occasionally and don't let them dry out. It's just a fun hobby which keeps me out of mischief :)

Thank you for the garden tour Sheila. It's beautiful with all the autumn colors and things blooming. I love those little unexpected surprises (olives).

Thanks very much Paul . . . yes, one of the best things about having a garden is coming across little surprises.

Mine is also idiot proof, I was looking at some pics I'd downloaded one day last week and thought I'd messed up, I cleaned my glasses and laptop screen, they were then completely different, lol...Lovely colour in your garden Sheila, we have to make the most of it now the temps have dropped so much, I don't like it, went out to clear some leaves today and was only outside for a few mins, guess I'm getting old...

Thanks Sue . . . it was certainly bitterly cold today, but I guess we have to accept that November isn't exactly a gardening month. At least we can look forward to the days getting longer again in about four weeks time!
