… relieved to see plants looking healthy and not dead! Apparently there was some rain here – often just after our neighbour had done the watering apparently :(

Phlox ‘chattahoochee’

Pieris ‘Florest flame’

New Clematis (sorry, I’ve lost the label)

Verbena ‘Kilimanjaro’

Hesperis (sweet rocket) with Libertia grandiflora

Dish of Bacopa

Greenhouse with Pelargoniums and Photinia

Happy gardening!

Looking well watered then, Sheila! Lots of colour and healthy greenery too. Your verbena looks gorgeous!

lovely Sheila, it is always an anxious time when we go away. I had to remind Victoria to water the greenhouse while we were away last week.

The weeds have taken advantage of the rain too. :o(

Kate, thank you. Yes, we had a wonderful week in a villa overlooking Lake Annecy … perfectly relaxing 🙂.

Eileen, thank you. Do you have any idea of the name of the white clematis?

22 May, 2022

Ooh, sounds just perfect, Sheila! I’m pleased you had a lovely time! 😊

Sheila, could your Clematis be 'Guernsey Cream' ? Mine is flowering now and looks similar.

Henryi, Miss Bateman or Tsukiko. are the ones that sort of fit.

I think Tsukiko looks the closest. Do any of the names ring a bell?

22 May, 2022

Shirley and Eileen, thanks very much. Maddening, but none ring a bell. If I could even remember who I bought it from, it might help! I usually keep labels carefully, so will have another hunt …

is it a seiboldii doing the all white thing before having the other coloured petals as it ages?

22 May, 2022

Some lovely colours and plants in that mix.

Thanks Cal 🙂.

Eileen, no mention of sieboldii on the label, but it’s too early to tell. Well done for identifying it as Tsukiko (I’ve finally hunted out the label) … I’m very grateful 🙂.
