My favourite Cornus, ’Eddie’s White Wonder’
Clematis ‘Amber’
Nemesia ‘Wisley Cream’
Pelargonium ‘Mona Lisa’
Pelargonium Rembrandt’
Viola ‘Columbine’
Viola ‘Clouded Yellow’
As we had wonderful weather in April, I wonder what May will bring? It would be really good to have some drenching rain (overnight of course), then more sunshine!

Thank you Ange. We’re desperate for a downpour here … the ground is too hard for the planting out that I’m wanting to do this week 🙁.

what a lovely collection of flowers to wake up to on a May morning.
we had some very gentle rain overnight, not enough to do much good as yet.

I’m loving your cornus, too, Sheila. Those flowers are really lovely!
You’ve some bright colour on display too.
We had a light shower overnight, but, OH did put the sprinkler on yesterday evening.
I have a very small patch of grass at the front, it was so compacted. I had to fork it and water it thoroughly yesterday morning.
Fortunately the rest of the front is high hedging, trees and shrubbery planted in soil with cobbles.

I love your cornus also Sheila, but all your flower are lovely,

All very pretty, the Nemesia is very advanced( unless you have just bought it in bloom)! I like the Clematis too, as well as the Cornus. Watered my garden yesterday with the hose, it was like a dust bath, no clay here.

I enjoyed looking at your white flowering plants, then Rembrant hit me in the eye!

You have some gorgeous white flowers Sheila, especially the cornus and the clematis. We had a drop of rain during the night but you wouldn’t know it to look at the borders, just a teeny puddle on the garage roof.

You have lots of lovely colour there Sheila and well in front of my garden!
The Cornus is magnificent! I can't believe your nemesias!
So early flowering and a beautiful colour!
I watered yesterday and had a little bit of rain overnight!

Thanks very much everyone. The Nemesia were bought as plugs from Sarah Raven a couple of weeks ago. I’ve splashed out on quite a few plugs this year (Osteospermum, Phlox, Orlaya and Cosmos) because they are so reliable 🙂.

Just love the Cornus Sheila! What a joy to see this every spring..:)) all the gentle colours and the beautiful Pelargonium Mona Lisa, then.as Siris says total contrast, stunning Rembrandt..
Lovely..x

Bless you Janey! Yes, I love to see the bracts on the Cornus as it took about eight years before it flowered. No stopping it now 🙂. Rembrandt is a cutting from a friend … let me know if you would like one as I now have four.

That’s such a shame for you Klahanie … better things to come in May hopefully. Thank you for your comment 🙂.

So many lovely flowers, Sheila! Certainly your Pelargoniums really stand out! I love Pelargoniums & have a deep pink one that has opened it's first flowers but I have nothing like 'Mona Lisa' or 'Rembrandt!
I've loved them ever since I grew a few of the big old Regal Pelargoniums many years ago in Spain!

Thanks Balcony, I agree … Pelargoniums are very special plants 🙂.

Sheila, I'm on GoY blogs 'catch-up', not a hope of looking through all the photos though! I love all of your plants, smashing photos too ... :o)

Oh, I'm not overdoing things, just wandered around the garden with my camera and resisted the urge to pull up any more Forget-me-nots until I am sitting down ... :o)

Very attractive flowers, Sheila. Like your cornus. We've had rain overnight but need several days of it so we can make an impact on our dried-out clay borders. Never happy!!
