Iris season commencing.

This, my first Tall Bearded Iris flowered a week ago but was damaged by the wind or most probably a Pidgeon.

The one damaged grows in the back garden but this clump,in the front under the Red Camellia, is starting to flower, but as there was a very strong wind this morning I started to stake any plants with developing flower stalks.

The clump of S.D. Gingerbread Man is in full flush. There should be another 4 or so different Dwarves still to bloom, they don’t need stalking being close to the ground, 20 to 40cm in height.

Tall Bearded remontant ’Again and Again was closed this morning but almost fully open this evening, with a gorgeous scent in the warmth from the sun.

That’s all at the moment, but they will be coming into bloom in abundance I hope.

April 14 T.B. Again & Again fully open, no new ones though.

Yes I ve done the same in the past Siris its a good idea when you have a lovely collection . They are lovely colours the golden and blue is fabulous. I dont blame you staking them we wait patiently to see them flower then that wind distroys them.
