…the Iris family.

Diplarrena moraea, White flowers in arching sprays above the foliage which is sword-shaped. Bought from a N. G scheme open day.

Iris confusa has tiny flowers arching above foliage that resembles, in my opinion, bamboo. This has taken 2 years to flower for the first time this year. The variety is Martyn Rix. I’ve actually planted it in front of a tub of Black Stemmed Bamboo.

I still like Bearded Iris the best as they have such a huge range of flower colour.

The Libertia is very beautiful though!

The flower on confusa is very pretty, but so tiny, it was impossible to get a clear pic. They seem to come out one at a time, but time will tell.

I’ve got the ixioides version, ‘I think’. I’ll have to post it. I did buy it several years ago. Unfortunately, OH built a wood storage unit on top of it, of sorts.
This is a beauty, Siris. The flowers are pretty.

KATE, I've also got brown leaved Libertia, which I do like bit it seems to creep quite a bit.

Unusual indeed. They resemble orchids in a way. What a treat to see them.

No sign of mine this year, I fear the neighbouring shrub may have impinged on its space too much , shame as it is such a delightful plant.
