Picked my remaining 2 lemons to make 3 Citrus Marmalade. Supplemented them with a bought pink grapefruit and some oranges.

The tiny Calamondin Orange I used in a G&T this evening. The sun was so glorious we sat on the evening sun bench seat till the sun went down. There are another 1/2 doz Calamondins left for another time.

Everything was peaceful this evening.

You ve done well making your own marmalade . It's great you got to sit out in the sun even though the sun was out here it's still really cold .

Oh yum! I love Marmalade, but most of the bought ones are far too sugary. Yours looks fab!

Thank you. That's the end of Marmalade making for the time. The new lemons are only the size of pin heads.
Citrus have flowers and fruit on the shrub at the same time, if you're lucky.

That looks amazing Siris; not made marmalade for years. Jam regularly though.

Red currant jelly jam gooseberry, and blackberry awaiting the fruit. Hope there's not a run on sugar.

They all look very tempting and your kitchen must have smelt wonderful when you were making the marmelade.

Thank you everyone, This batch + the previous will keep me going for ages. OH will only eat Strawberry, which I find rather sweet.
BATHGATE, Had to look up from what Pumpernickle Bread is made, Rye and traditionally sour dough, so now I know.

Sorry about my typo Siris. I meant to say, your marmelade on pumpernickel bread with cream cheese would be absolutely wonderful - - with tea or coffee.

Pumpernickel is a dark rye sourdough bread slightly sweetened with very dark molasses. It takes me back to my grandma's house when everybody would sit around with a slice with grape or strawberry jam and cream cheese. It was so delicious. This would be perfection.

By all means go try you some grape jam...on anything. It's a staple in my house.

Bathgate, easier said than done. Not a regular commodity in the Uk, but there are receipts on line.

It's simple to make, good to eat. Wear gloves when preparing the purple grapes.
