Yes will be thinking of you in your loss Spritz.So sorry to hear about this. When my Mum died after some years of Dementia where she did not know us, there was a mixture of sadness and relief that she was not suffering any more. I think we grieved for the real Mum that we knew all the time she was ill. Bless you and look forward to when you can be active again on GOY.

So very sad to hear about your loss, its always traumatic when you lose someone close but losing a parent is especially so, life is never quite the same when they are no longer with us, just take your time and cherish the memories, thinking about you .

Spritz i'm sorry for the loss of your mum, my mum past away over 24yrs ago, although the pain gets easy, i still miss her very much, i always say your mum is very very special, to me she was my mum, best friend,she was always there to stand by us all,even after all these years i can still cry for my mum,she is always in my thoughts.but i do try and think of good times we all had with her, not the sad ones, anyway my thoughts are with you both at this sad time.love to you both xxx.

Perhaps at your mothers marvellous age a time to recall and celebrate a long life rather than a sense of loss.She has clearly left a great legacy behind for you and your children to take into the future.You will always be surrounded by her. Sorry to hear your sad news, although I am a newbie I can appreciate what you are going through, your garden will be a great healer, it was for me when my dear Father died.

You are all lovely people and have been helping me with your comforting messages. The funeral is over and it was a celebration of the life of a wonderful lady. Of course I shall miss her, but she is in a better place and free from pain and confusion.
Yes, I've been with my family and we have helped each other through this and will continue to do so.

Thanks Lyd - yes, I know! I won't be able to be on GOY much for a while as my cousin from the USA flew over for Mum's funeral and is staying with us for a few days.
