My Gold Pansies

I saw some beautiful gold pansies – and loved them. I bought three of them!
The petals are not all gold, though!
The petals are slightly frilly, too.
I bought them to ‘go’ with my Heuchera ‘Marmalade’…and they do!
I planted two Ceratostigma plumbaginoides which have red leaves at this time of year – they ‘go’ as well!
I’m thrilled with my new pansies!

They do look good with the heuchera, still you knew that....

They are beautiful and go well with the heuchara. Not the same as the ones I eat LoL , yours have nice frilled petals whereas mine are normal flat ones

Lovely blog. I love pansies and these are really something special.

there seem to be a lot of 'mixed' ones this year and not so many single colours don't there Louise. B&Q don't appear to be doing the range they used to, guess it's all due to cutbacks :(
9 Oct, 2009
I've noticed it Grindle, it's a bit annoying because i 'don't want' mixed colours, grrrrr.
When i went to S with Spritz we did a bit of self selection to get what we wanted ;)

Excuse me - WHO did, Louise?????? LOL.
I'll check with my little Nursery for pink ones - did you mean pale pink?
Thanks, all - I like them soooo much I thought I'd give them their 15 minutes of fame! lol.

I just wandered away like i didn't know you :-))))

10 Oct, 2009
Sounds great fun! I'd love to! I'm sitting here with the heating on & 2 jumpers! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!
10 Oct, 2009
Oh dear - it was warm enough for me to be outside with no jacket on this afternoon! I don't know what the temps. are doing now, though.
Do you feel the cold?
10 Oct, 2009
Yes, terribly! I have Raynaud's ( my circulation goes to pot) & arthritis, so I need to keep warm! Also my work is overheated, so its worse when I'm working!
10 Oct, 2009
I had R's Syndrome until I was in my 20s. I had acupuncture and it went! Any use giving it a try? It didn't hurt, or anything,
11 Oct, 2009
Hmm! I tried acupuncture when I had my spinal injuries & both times it made it worse, but there's a chinese clinic in Perth, so I might ask about it! Ta!
11 Oct, 2009
I do hope it helps you - I have RLS and unfortunately it made THAT worse, too.
But to be rid of white painful fingers was a real blessing! :-)) It's worth investigating, isn't it!
11 Oct, 2009
It is! My feet & legs get affected too, & the council wont put in a bath for me because I dont take drugs for it! I was treating it with ginger & warm baths!!!
Oops! RLS?? Cant remember what it stands for!
11 Oct, 2009
Restless Legs Syndrome - aka 'Ekbom's Syndrome' Marie. NOT nice. :-(((((((((((((((
11 Oct, 2009
Of course! I knew it was one I SHOULD recognise! No, it cant be much fun! When I had acupuncture on ny neck (I couldnt use my right arm or turn my head) I ended up with temporary loss of use of BOTH arms!
11 Oct, 2009
Oh my goodness! Be careful you choose a qualified person, then!
11 Oct, 2009
That was the NHS!!! And it happened again with my lower back, I couldnt walk! So I'm a tad wary!
11 Oct, 2009
Of course you are - mine was a private qualified guy - he did try to help! Well, at least he got rid of the Raynaud's for me, so he DID help!
12 Oct, 2009
Well THAT would be WELL worth a try!
12 Oct, 2009
These are lovely. I was too late to get any of the pale ones you posted earlier.
