Before the flowers dry up! Also,Majesty palms,a dwarf Avocado with Guava in the same yard.
At the end is a Tree where all the green are Orchid Cactus and Cymbidiums..dozens hanging from pots. I saw on the same street Orchid cactus on the crotch of a dead tree. You never saw any of this here in the 1970’s. These plants are all new to be common here.

Those Eirlys are some kind of ice plant. If its Delosperma? That's actually hardy in the UK. Only,lack of sun might not get as much bloom.
Its all relative..most of my plants want to be in Hawaii!

Thank you Penny. Not many Azalea's or Rhdodendrons anymore in the bay area btw. You used to see more of them. The need for heavy watering,a few droughts,and that ended for the most part their spring use.
Still,LOTS of Roses. People love them.

That's such a shame yes they do like lots of water seems your best off with drought loving plants there.
I am surprised the roses last with such droughts plant banana skins around but beneath the soil of your rose it deters aphids attacking it.
