but on looking at the poor old Spiraea facing me as I opened the kitchen door I just knew it had to go.
First I had to decide on what I wanted in its place, well there was a Mahonia that needed moving from the front garden so that was a start.So it was off to my local nursery and I came back with 1 Heuchera(half price as the label was lost) and a shrub Leucothoe `Scarletta`these together with an existing Hebe `quicksilver` made up the new planting scheme.
I painted the Archway to match the shed and the depth of colour of these plants I hope stand out and together with the added height seem to lift the overall structure of the garden.
I also purchased another small shrub Ungi Molinae `Flambeau` which has lovely colours to the leaves and small pink tinged flowers come spring.
Now its back to the drawing board to work on the front garden make-over, can`t wait for spring to come.

Naughty stroller, you know you should not have lol. but who cares as long as we are happy eh! plants and more plants cannot be bad for us, better than eating chocolates, unless like me you like the chocolates as well as the plants.

Well I don't eat chocolate much at all...but I've bought a chocolate bar with almonds and cashews today and it's all gone....so I guess I have to join the nutty/chocoholic club too...is there room for me? lol
