Reading Vf1`s blog about her apple tree reminded me of last July when I was in a panic and did a blog about my newly aquired Sorbus `pink pergoda` which looked very very sickly.
As you can see.
Well all has turned out ok even after the very severe winter that we have had. It`s survived and looks fine.
Maybe not as much growth on it as I would have liked but looking healthy and thats what matters.
Sorry the last two photo`s don`t do it justice – I`ve just popped out to take them and it is very overcast and yippee its started to rain.
That didnt last long – the rain – looking out the window as I type the sun is back. Ah well just hope we have more rain tonight.

It does look healthy now Stroller, I thought it looked a bit dull over your garden, we had a slight drizzle at lunchtime lasted about 1min and I swear it dried before hitting the ground......

I remember you asking about this, Stroller. Were you told the reason why it looked so poorly back in July? Pleased to see it thriving now. : o ))

Hello Shirley,
When I got in touch with the Nursery they felt that there was nothing wrong with the Tree other than stress from being removed from its pot, but they did say that come spring if it had not recovered they would replace it.
So all has ended well.
Hope all is well with your newly aquired allotment.

Hi Stroller, I've just read your comment on my recent blog and came back to this thread! I've not heard of a tree suffering 'pot removal stress' ... sounds like a new syndrome to me ... lol!

I'm pleased to hear your tree is doing well :) It's annoying when such a big plant dies.

It sure is Hywel, but I would have fought for my money back.
