THE DAY THAT THE RAINS CAME DOWN, mother earth smiled againlol.

and OH helped me with my projects. He did the cutting and I put together and painted or stained.
These are two trellis planters to hide the hose pipe attached to the outside wall of the kitchen. We put them on castors so they can be easily moved around.

The next two pics are of a Mirror that I made myself from an old pallet which OH took apart. He also found and stripped the pieces of tree root.

The rain fell quite heavily and the garden soaked it all up
which is exactly what we`ve been waiting for.
Now I cant get the darn song of Helen Shapiro`s out of my head.

Hope you all had a fair share of the rain.

thats who it was!! thanks Stroller-- the mirror is impressive-- we're being forecast a storm tonight and the garden already looks much better--- as do the weeds.....

VERY NICE. A WORK OF ART I WOULD SAY!
WE TOO HAD SOME RAIN HERE ON SAT NIGHT BUT NOT ENOUGH FOR MY GARDEN. I HAVE ALREADY WATERED MY GARDEN MANY TIMES THIS YEAR AND I AM ON WATER METER I AM AFRAID. I TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT THE COST AND KEEP MY MORAL HIGH.

Fantastic mirror and those planters on castors...what a brilliant idea! Well done! bucketed down here too all weekend. Now we've got sunshine and rain at the same time! Garden is pretty soggy but growing like mad!

Genius idea to use castors, Stroller, simple but effective! Decided what to plant in them yet? You two are so imaginitive to make a mirror from a pallet, it's so 'right' in your 'country-style' room and now I know where Sid Squirrel ran off to ... lol! : o ))

I like the mirror very much. We make a lot of things out of pallets but I don't think we have ever sanded or varnished so they still look like old pallets!

Well done Stroller, your mirror is superb. I especially like the carved bit at the side - how did you do this ?

Great planters you've made and your mirror is a work of art...very creative to add the stripped branch to give some added interest too.

Don't forget to post a photo or two when your new planters are all filled and growing like crazy! :)

Thanks to all for your lovely comments, I`ve got some trailing nasturtium that I`ve grown from seed - if I put them in upside down do you think they`ll climb instead of trailing.ha,ha.
Will post some pics when its all planted and grown, hopefully.
