I wasn`t sure whether to plant directly into the garden or put it in a pot. I had made up my mind to slightly alter the righthand side of the patio – there are two very large drain covers here – so I added more slate to cover them completely then did a tier of two bricks in front and added pots of yellow and orange begonia and the pots of Japanese Maples Sango-Kaku and Aureum standing as they do in front of roses Warm welcome which is a bright orange and the pale yellow of Malvern hills it now makes for a very bright corner.
I`m also pleased with how well the roses are doing, despite some of the heavy rain we have been having Love Knot has bloomed well and the climbing Hydrangea just gets better and better.
Just had to pop a photo of the Lefthand side of the patio where the gorgeous deep red blooms of Dublin Bay are giving their all.
Its another day of armchair gardening here as we are still having relentless rain. Hope the sun shines soon.

You have made that a lovely bright corner Phyl - love it! We have no rain today so I took a wander around the garden - spotted blooms of Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue' and 'Arthur Bell' are already falling after the downpours of late ... :o(

Stroller, I've just been looking at your pics and everything is lovely. I think you have a small version of my St.Francis!
Is that a very old chair on the left? I've got all sorts displayed - some donated, some bought in junk shops etc.
