Taking advantage of the mild weather

I`ve been making the most of the mild weather this last few days, although its started a little foggy and damp by about ten o`clock its cleared and its been a joy to get going doing a general tidy up and also moving one or two shrubs that were in the wrong place. With a short break for a trip to the garden centre where I purchased four tiny shrubs 2 x choisya `sundance` and 2 x Euonymus `green rocket`( as these get too big for the planters they can go into the garden) … a couple of heathers and a few pansies I was ready to replant the two new planters next to the arbour seat. .
Back in July we altered the seating at the top of the waterfall and pond the picture is how it looks now with the planting of Cobaea scandens`purple round it, am surprised how its still flowering.
Must show you one last picture before I go and its of Arbutus unedo `rubra` this is growing into such a lovely tree with its flowers and fruit, I bought it from Kidderminster market in 2010 for £2.99 it was about 30cms tall one of my favourite buys … I love it.
Just a few more bulbs to plant up and then I`m done.

Look at that Cobea! The blooms are Huuuuge! :) you'll enjoy your planters on mild winter days. And your Arbutus is wonderful. I love the way you've pruned it.

That Arbutus was such a good buy. With your care it is turning into a beautiful feature tree.
