Finding You

In December I decided that a drift of anemone blanda would look very nice growing beneath the mature oaks in our alley. The alley is about 100 metres long and the trees have grown to form an arch over a grass ride. We enjoy this part of the garden at all seasons of the year.

I appreciate that it is rather late to be planting anemone corms but as our ground is like concrete in the Autumn I thought it was worth a try. We took delivery of 1000 corms last week and with the assistance of “the labourer”, otherwise known as my husband, we planted them.

We have had a blog since we moved to France so that our friends can follow our house renovation, garden developments and the general goings on in our life. Hence mention was made of the anemones. However as I know it will be years before they make the show I envisage I searched the internet to find an image which would show the anemones in all their splendour. I not only found the photo on Growsonyou but a hole group of likeminded people. Hello to you all.
