Roses doing well …
Escallonias flowering their best-ever this summer …
Dianthus delighting all over the place …
……………………………………………………………………..
… and Truffle helps every day by playing gentle rope-toy games with Neptune … easing out Neptune’s loose puppy teeth …
… I pick up the teeth which fall out onto the mat … my collection is currently a dozen or so … incisors, canines and molars !
……………………………………………………………………..
Meanwhile, Sapphire has been multi-tasking … commentating on the TV tennis while splashing in her bath …
I hope everyone is enjoying summer 2017 !

You have some really beautiful plants, as always from what I've seen :-) and love your roses. I never found Shadows teeth when they came out, knowing him he probably eat them :-). What great pics of sapphire having a wash.

Gorgeous roses shrubs and plants very colourful garden you have. Lol tug a war with Truffles and Neptune Saphire looks very proud of him self ?

Beautiful Terra, although all are taking a battering today, its very windy and been drizzling all day.
Tug of War is a firm favourite here, not very gentle though, Harriet cheats and nips at Brynners legs and paws forcing him to let go, think she is losing her teeth as well, having a chew at anything if we are not keeping an eye on her.
Sapphire knows one has to be spruced up for the tennis, lol...

What beautiful blooms TT and the rose in picture 1 is just gorgeous!
A Tug-of-War is a great game for two friends to play. Does the Tooth Fairy visit Neptune?
Sapphire will be asking for a whirlpool bath next lol!

Hi Tt, another colourful and entertaining blog, and it's good to see truffle getting on so well with neptune, and saphire sprucing up.
You're right about the escallonia, yours are further on than mine, but they are covered in buds, I don't grow the others, but yours are looking very healthy, Derek.

Thanks Wildrose, Jen, 3d. Sue, Waddy and Derek ..
I'm not sure why the Escallonia are so full of flowers this year, but I'm delighted to see them.
Yes ... the Tooth Fairy does visit Neptune ...
with special biscuits which have an extra little bit of calcium, to encourage his adult teeth to grow through white and strong. Sapphire did offer him some of her cuttle fish, but I decided that's not quite suitable !

Your Roses Escallonias and Dianthus are doing well TT. They are all very pretty.
Your pets are also doing well :o) Truffle is very helpful. He knows how to assist with Neptune's teething. That must be very reassuring for you :o)
Sapphire seems to enjoy the water. She would have liked it here today in the pouring rain :o)

Thanks Hywel ...
I'm pleased with my flowers and with my pets !
This week most British gardens are due to get a thorough rain-soaking. Generally, your part of the country does seem to get more down-pours than almost everywhere else in the UK ! x x x

The yellow rose in particular is just perfect - took my breath away.
Diane hope you are OK now.

To stay on the topic of this blog, I hope you get enough rain TT. It will keep your flowering shrubs healthy and keep Sapphire happy :o) x

... the rose bush blooms have a super shape and scent.
Thank you Hywel ... absolutely bucketing down with rain today ! x

Lovely flowers. I love the yellow rose & also the single spray one. Nice to see how Neptune has grown. You put a lot of effort into your blogs, please don't give up keeping us all happy.

Special thanks to everyone for your support here and elsewhere yesterday... I cannot list the many names of all the folk who were so kind, but I would like to mention in particular Hywel, Bathgate and Balcony. It is appreciated more than you might realise.
Thank you also to GoY management for removing the intrusive comments from this blog. I wish to emphasise that the member who made those comments has used my blogs/photos as an 'easy target' on many occasions over a number of years.
I had to put a stop to it. This wasn't a 'one-off' by any means. Yes, she might have health problems, but she must write about that and her other non-garden interests in her own blogs, and not sabotage GoY.
It is now almost 9 years that I've been supporting GoY actively as a member. Also, I am an unpaid volunteer GoYpedia editor, sorting alphabetical categories for many plants and garden ideas.
I've made lots of friends here at GoY . On the internet I do not belong to any other Garden Groups, not even on Facebook, which I use just occasionally for my interest in online charity pet photo shows.
It is over 25 years since I had a holiday away, or even a short break. Please understand if occasionally I need a little time away from GoY to catch up with tasks at home. There's only me here to manage everything.

Vjd .. great idea to put Dianthus at your sister's house... she will be delighted.
Feverfew and Bloomer .. lovely comments as always about my flowers and pets. Thanks.
Thank you Admin12345 ...
I really appreciate your adding a comment to this blog.
That was very kind and thoughtful of you.

Another great blog and I agree it is a great year for roses and so early too. Yours look so disease free any tips?
I am sorry to hear you are still having problems on GOY. I did not see the intrusive comments on this blog and the adverse comments aimed at you seem to go on and on year after year which must take their toll. I love your blog and photos and hope you will long continue.

Your escallonia is fantastic. I bought one year's ago and it never flowered. I took it with us when we moved two years ago mainly for the pot it was in and it has started flowering. Nowhere near as well as yours though. I won't give up on it now after seeing yours.

Everything looks like it's zinging in your garden.

Hi Dahlia...
your escallonia should improve every year.
Thanks Lisam ...
gardens enjoying lots of rain this week !

Terratoonie could you recommend a fragrant dianthus I can plant just beside my new summerhouse? (grand unveiling coming soon, just working on finishing touches!)
8 Jun, 2017
Hi Amsterdam ...
Do you like the Dianthus photographed in this blog ?
9 Jun, 2017
Lovely roses TT - I think it's a good year for them! Mine are looking good at the front of the house for the first time since I planted them about 4 years ago now... :o)
9 Jun, 2017
Hi Tracey ..
thank you .. that's good to know your roses are putting on a great show for you this summer.
9 Jun, 2017
Yes I do. Do you mean the dark pink edged one?
9 Jun, 2017
Hi Amsterdam ...
If you scroll to the base of this page, there are lots of pretty Dianthus under 'C' on the GoYpedia page, Carnations and Pinks, which is edited by our lovely GoYpedia editor Drc726... I hope that helps... there will be some similar to the flowers on this blog.
9 Jun, 2017
Thanks Terratoonie. Are they all scented?
10 Jun, 2017
Amsterdam, if you type in 'Dianthus' in the Custom search box at the top right of the page you will see a blog by Homebird and one from myself listing some named Pinks and how scented they are. Hope this helps. :o))
10 Jun, 2017
Thanks Shirley... that's very helpful.
10 Jun, 2017
Morning to Team Terra! I hope you have a sunny blue sky day as we have down here ... :o)
10 Jun, 2017
Hi Shirley ..
Team Terra all well thank you ... Sapphire is practising her clapping noises ready to applaud the French tennis... trouble is, she claps during the points instead of afterwards ... Outdoors everything is growing fast !
10 Jun, 2017
Oh my, what an image that conjures up!! If only we could have audio on here .....
10 Jun, 2017
ha ha ha ... Sapphire clapping the double faults ...
10 Jun, 2017

Your roses are a delight as is everything else in your very pretty garden.
