Winter means no flowers - or does it?

I must confess to dreading the winter…the weather, the dark days, the cold…
I was walking up to my front door and wishing the flowers were out. Then, suddenly, I stopped. ‘Was that colour I could see?!?’
I rushed indoors, dumped my stuff down, grabbed my camera then dashed outside again…click…click!
Here’s what I discovered through the lens:-
Not a lot I grant you, but just enough to know that, even in the greyest of days, there’s colour out there somewhere.
You just have to look for it!

In summer we perhaps take colour for granted, but how cheering is the sight of just a crocus r two and a couple of snowdrops can be at this time of year! love that first helebore, isn't it perfection?

I, too, love the white hellebore. The early flowers are precious.

Thanks for all your lovely comments. I injured my eye and had to wait some time for the op. It's wonderful to be able to see properly again and...write blogs!!!
