The morning after.

I decided to put on the gloves and get on with it to clear up the fallen pots. I took everything out and had to put the shelving back together before I could do anything else. I’m a great believer in bad stuff happens, deal with it, move on.
Well although quite a few plants need a compost top up, I finished up with only one empty pot! Result!
I’m used to windy weather, I live in flightpath at Heathrow where planes land on the crosswind, but I have decided a plastic blowaway greenhouse is not for me.
After the stormy weather of the last two days, today is calm, sunny but very cold.
I have just looked round the garden and there are this year’s flower buds on the Clianthus already. Here’s hoping they make it.

Well done my daughter in law had her plastic green house blow away and they never got it back.

Thats a good result then, I'm pleased for you as it looked like a lot of plants to lose, I'd only just commented on your previous blog and then found this, we cannot control the wind so have to live with it and as you say you are used to it, at least the house itself wasn't damaged, fingers xx thats your bad session for the winter over and done with and your plants do well in spite of their slight mishap....

Great salvage operation, looks as good as new. It's amazing how resilient some of the plants are to these various mishaps.

I put slabs in the base of my plastic greenhouse and tied
the frame to struts with baling string. Worked ok so far,
as it stands by the fence.

Thanks to you all. Might try the slabs Dianebulley but so cold out there this week my old bones won't take it.
when it gets warmer maybe.

I tried all that Dianebulley, but the green house then split ! I'm pleased you didn't lose much Thorneyside !

Thanks Rose, although we had an action replay of those high winds a few days after but I still only lost 3 plants so I can't complain.
It's very calm now but minus 4, so fingers crossed that plants in my other 2 greenhouses (glass) will survive.
