A Couple of Days Away... part 1..

Last week, my OH and I decided on a whim, to take a couple of days away…(the joys of retirement).
Our first stop was at Burton Agnes Hall near Bridlington. I found the gardens (surprisingly) wonderful as much of it wasn’t formally laid out, something I prefer to see.
This chap didn’t seem to move very much.
Right…that’s enough for now. Time for a cuppa I think.
more to follow later, if you’re up for it…

Pansypotter That was one of the things I liked about it. The gardens felt so welcoming, because they were so 'natural'

Bloomer: We're just the same, often seen the signs but never been. I'm so glad we decided to stop this time. I think there must be something to see in any season.

Thanks for the complement to english gardens Bathgate its all the sunshine....and showers!!
I really like this garden, natural as you say but more than that clearly labelled plants!
its so frustrating to have the name on the tip on your tongue .....and a faded label!!
The topiary trees are super and make the hall stand out, perfect, thsnks for a cheery morning blog......its really chilly out, single figures on a july morning .....British summertime ?
