Before summer goes, I thought I’d take a couple of pics…just to remind me. It’s pouring today and much colder (sigh!)
Let’s hope summer makes a return visit soon…thanks for dropping in :0)

Your garden looks terrific Waddy, the purple Clematis is flowering it's heart out but I am sure it appreciates the rain and everything else too. Some pretty Heucharas which will look much brighter after the rain.
It's raining here too Eirlys! Everything so desperately needs it I am quite happy to decant the water butts into something else when they are full. Weeding the garden the other day it was like dust, how anything has survived so far is a miracle - the weeds of course always do!

Garden is looking lovely and love your rose bed with all those lovely roses. So did you pick up a new one the other day? We have had bearly any rain here. Water butts nearly empty as since all that hot weather we only had enough rain to half fill them. When I told my friends back in Kent that I was moving to the Midlands they all said"but what about the weather, it's always raining there!" From what they have been saying I think they have had it wetter there then here in my little bit of Shropshire. Getting to the stage that I wish we would get some really good rain. :-).

Gosh Julia, your garden looks amazing! The pond is stunning! Now come on...summer has only just started, we need rain for our gardens and the cooler snap will move on eventually leaving a long summer ahead to enjoy. Have faith! :) x

Eirlys: Thank you...it's still raining here.
Honeysuckle Thank you. It was very dry here until now. I resorted to using the hose pipe a couple of times. Things look better now :)
Jenlewis; Thanks! The rain butts are filling up nicely. Lucky you living near one of the best rose growers in the country, Austins. A bit too far for us I'm afraid.
Bathgate. Thank you. No I'm not sad, I just hate the grey skies.
Feverfew. Thank you!
Cottagekaren; You're too kind...but I am glad to see the pond and area are developing. Hope you're right about summer!
Steragram; Thanks! I think you'll find we've had the longest day, so spring has certainly gone lol!
Seaburngirl; Thank you...what are you sewing that keeps you out of the garden? Get out there and smell the roses you can sew at night lol!

Your a wicked women lol. Temping me like that :-). Just looked up David Austin rose Centre. It's only 33 mins drive from my house!!! Yay. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks so just been out to show hubby and told him that's where I would like to go on that day as I happened to not book any customers in that day. When I was on their website I saw that I could sign up for a free catalogue which said it had help and hints in it and also their newsletter email which does the same. Can always unsubcribe if they become a pain. Really, thank you so much, never realised it was there or so close. Jen

lol...no need to worry Jen..DA's won't become a pain. I never get anything from them except the catalogue, which is sooooo tempting!

I have this cunning plan Karen, hubby has banned me from buying any more plants for the garden this year. We have spent quite a bit on all the plants, new trellis, paying to take two trees out and soon to have a new fence, but if we go to DA on my birthday and he really loves roses, I might just happen to come home with some as how can he say no on my birthday. Lol :-)

Your garden is beautiful. I hope it stays like that the whole summer for you :)

Oh Jen, I am sooo jealous! I've just been given Austin's catalogue via a 'friend' and now I'm spoilt completely for choice.
I don't see how your Hubby will be able to refuse a birthday request...you might even get two roses, one each lol!!

Lol Waddy, fingers crossed :-). Now all I need is nice weather on the day. Saw that they have a rose garden to walk around. Will have to take some photes. Thanks again for telling me about it. :-)

Waddy, I'm on catch-up this evening while OH watches some footie on TV. That first photo of the mauve Clematis is stunning ... so many blooms!
I really like your pond and surrounding planting too ... lots of Summer days ahead!

Thank you Shirley I feed the Clematis each year. As for the pond I'm pleased with how it's filled out since we moved it last year.

So colourful!
It's raining nicely here and the OH approves! I can practically see the tree branches reaching out for "nourishment".
