A Love of The Isles of Scilly.

I want to share with all of you why I love these islands so much.
This is one of the beaches on the island of Tresco. The photograph was taken in May 2011.
The white sand on the beaches has tiny, sparkly particles in it that look like glitter. The island in the distance is St Martins.
This statue is in the gardens of Tresco Abbey. I have always liked it and each year we take yet another photo!
This mosaic is one of three on display in a small public garden on Tresco. I hope that this makes you all happy too.

Totally agree it is stunning place although to be honest would not really want to live there, had a friend do a couple of seasons on St Marys and she said that was enough. On a sunny day the sea and sand are such amazing colours are'nt they..if someone dropped you from a plane and said guess where you are i don't think anyone would guess!
My hubby absolutely besotted by the islands and we used to go on the Scillonian day trip when they did the longest day trip annually..i have some vivid sea sickness memories on the way over but always fine on the way back. Despite that always worth it. Bird watchers flock there as well all in all a great escape for anyone to vist and thanks for the photos lovely to see them.

Oh how lovely to see this blog, we spent our honeymoon on the Isle of Tresco at the beautiful Island Hotel, we went in June but the sea was so cold that we only ventured in up to our knees, always wanted to return, but we never have, thank you so much for bringing back very happy memories......

So far whenever we have travelled on the Scillonian it has been a calm crossing but I have seen people arrive after NOT such a calm crossing and it was not a pretty sight!!! We usually go on Skybus.
I love Marazion and the surrounding area - sky seems bluer down there!

Wilrose when we went on the Scillonian (our honeymoon) we were the only people on board not being sick!! OH was going round with the paper bags, we had taken precautions, we were warned by a sailor to eat a hearty breakfast followed by a stiff drink, which we did, how I kept it down I will never know lol and was it rough!!

We return there in September so I shall take a few new ones. Heather should be out then.

That first photo is just out of this world.

If you see the islands under blue skies they really are out of this world. I don't think they have had many blue skies this year though!!
I am going again in September so surely things will be brighter by then!!!
