Oh yes, it is still very windy here too but I was trying to put a brave face on after yesterday!!

Much better day, distinctly warm out of the breeze......good drying day and its nots sending the towels across the fields!

Our day has been nice too. No washing though, just trying to catch up with weeding - again - still...

Why is it that weeds seem to thrive in our garden when some much loved plants struggle to survive?!!

Perhaps it's because weeds are truly indigenous plants that thrive in our climate and, more importantly, survive our common pests and diseases. If only they were as attractive and desirable as so many of our imports! I must stress that I love my imports and would not want a garden only populated by indigenous plants!!!

I have those huge orange poppies popping up here and there this year and pretending ot be weeds- no idea how they got there. Even in the veg patch. They seem to have minds of their own.
