Listening to the cricket on the radio!

I am sitting by the kitchen door in the sunshine listening to Phil Tuffnell making me chuckle on the radio!
The sun is shining, I have a cup of coffee and I am enjoying the day!
The photos have all been taken from my chair so I didn’t have to go to a lot of trouble but I just wanted to share my moment of contentment with you.
We have just taken a wicket……even better!
Please could you help me with the name of the last pink flower?
I will now get back to ‘busy doing nothing!’

What could be better than doing what you enjoy on a summer afternoon :)
Yes I agree about the flower - Sidalcea ...

yes what a lovely way to take in the day. I also think sidalcea, if the leaves are shiny rather than matt then it is.
You have lots of colour going on there.

A beautiful view from your chair. I'm not a cricket fan, but whatever relaxes you works for me.

How idyllic...quite right, Chris! Sounds like a perfect summer Sunday.
Iām not keen on cricket myself, but, as said..we enjoy different things and we do what makes us happy when we can.
Your garden is looking so very colourful and bright! I hope you relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day in the comfort of your chair.

Possibly malva moschata if you didn't plant it. I think you sound very lazy lol. My elder son loves cricket, I just love to see the englishness of it on our local cricket pitch:-))

You describe the perfect afternoon: listening to something you enjoy and observing something you love!

Thank you everyone.
I am not a huge cricket fan but I do enjoy the radio commentary! Some of the presenters are very entertaining and I love Jonathan Agnew's voice!!
Where has the sunshine gone? That didn't last long did it?!

What is it about voices? Watched RSC's 'Much Ado' on telly a couple of nights ago and there was an actor in it who had the most wonderful voice. Just reminded of how irritating lots of voices in broadcasting are to listen to, now. Sorry - I digress!

Your garden looks lovely W'rose, I'm not into sport of any kind but can remember my mum loved the cricket on the radio.

Garden looks lovely, just sitting there and looking at it is CALMING. I was doing just the same thing on Sunday, until a rat ran near my feet , that was it, I went indoors and today on my hands and knees as you do in the garden, got up stood back to see the efforts of my labour and ratty ran out again, indoors me, my CALMING days will be over for a time. :( :(

Thank you for your lovely comments.
Loupylou - how awful for you, and then to see the dreaded creature again the next day. I am sorry this happened to you.

Well, I would love to have those garden views from my kitchen door. So much colour in the sunshine.
Michael likes to watch cricket, not something I like, but Michael Holding's voice ... lovely! :o)
