Rosemoor Flower Show

Rosemoor holds an annual Summer Flower Show.
Local nurseries have stalls to sell their plants but also each one has a small wooden plot to make a display. Some of these were really beautiful.
There were also flower arranging demonstrations and a variety of talks throughout the day.
We came home with two new plants and some very nice tulip bulbs.
I didn’t take many photos as my hands were full!!
The hosta display featured water which looked so nice.
This pond had a lovely variety of plants unlike ours which tends to get taken over by one or two dominant ones!
This wild flower patch was still so fresh and colourful looking.
Yesterday we went to the Chagford Show which is another lovely day out. I shall close with a photo of the leeks which won First Prize – hardly surprising!!!
I shall just add photos of the new plants I bought
Physostegia Crystal White
Blechnum spicant – Deer fern

No I didn't go to any talks Julia because we had a lot to do at home to get ready for the family visit! It was all a bit rushed which was a shame, but at least we got there!!

Rosemoor is one of my favourite RHS gardens, lovely throughout the year.
Thanks for the visit. Great to be able to buy locally. The show gardens are fun.

Reminds me of Dundee Food and Flower Festival sadly the Covid killed it off for good. It’s a real pity.

Chris, thanks for sharing your visits, lovely photos. You'd need a lot of cheese sauce for those huge Leeks ... :o)
The wildflowers still look wonderful and your new Physostegia reminded me I once had a P. 'Crown of Snow' but no idea where it went to!
