Neomarica hybrid
7 comments
Previously I wrote a blog about Neomarica northiana.
Just today it has another 6 flowers open!
But, as you would expect, I also have another plant that I got from someone I know in mainland Portugal that is a hybrid. It is no less impressive than the species and I need to find a partly shaded place to put it in the ground.
Here it is from above:
From the side:
And at an angle:
It also has lots of buds, so it will be blooming for a while. Also it stands up to wind and rain really well.

Like Karen I, too, find it difficult to believe that such a lovely flower can stand up to rain & winds! They are as lovely as the Neomarica northiana.

I'm glad everyone likes this species. It is very hard to find a source for seeds, not to mention plants. With the weather warming up, I need to move it to a shady spot.

It’s like a cross between a toad Lily and Iris!
