Work done when the sun was shining..

The weather has been wet and cold for a couple of weeks, so not much done in the garden but the nice weather we had previously had us working like mad :)
So, following on from my last blog re the awning area by the back door, we installed lights..
There was a sticky out fence on the right of the trachy to screen off my work area but mainly the hide the dog bin yuk. we took it down and put a mirror on the fence :)
Before..
After..
The Mirror.. looking forward to seeing this when the raised bed is planted up..
We had bits of decking left over so hub made 4 decking squares for outside the greenhouse :)
The garden is at a standstill :( my seedlings on the windowsill need potting on but its not warm enough to get them into the greenhouse, i hope i dont lose them, but on the plus side, I finally wrote this blog after more than a week of trying Yayyy :)

I know how you feel Youngdaisy, I know how desperately we need the rain but not all the time, lol, its been nice for a few days this week but I wasn`t here, came back last night, lawn has really shot up so it rained yet again, oh well at least I was able to get on in the greenhouse..
Your seating area looks lovely, fingers xx we have some warm nights so you can relax outside and enjoy your surroundings...

Thanks Jewells and michaella.
DD The first time i didn't protect it was the winter of 2009/10 i thought you can get on with it mate, then the snow came!!! i was worried sick but apart from knocking the snow off with a brush a couple of times it sailed through, then the winter of 2010/11 came! it just laughed in its face haha still pushing spears up and that ugly flower lol, there's 6 new spears there now and 3 flowers, i dont protect much , apart from fleece over my gunnera and my TFs and CIDPs in the greenhouse thats about it, im slowly learning what is hardy up here, some plants i treat as annuals, canna and colocasia etc and there are a lot tropicals i would love in my garden but i compromise now, I gave up on nana's a couple of years ago, they are to expensive to use as annuals, i try a lot from seed to save money, i have canna, ricinus, echium and a couple of other things on the windowsills, i hope the weather changes soon, its pouring down out there..
Hi Pixi, yes at last, if i stick to short blogs with less pics it only takes an hour lol, im looking forward to sitting there at night, maybe get the patio heater up and running :) thanks for your comments X
