At last Henry’s vaccinations are up to full strength and he can go out for a walk with Harvey. Sooo…

“Are you sure we are allowed to eat this?”

“Yes It’s a great view but it looks a long way…”

“What ever it was I think it’s gone…What’s a rabbit?”

“It’s getting a lot warmer now”

“that was fun running down that sand ramp.
I think we’ve managed to shake them off…”

“I need a drink…”

“What’s a tiddler?”

how much further?

nearly there!

is it deep?

is it always cold?

you mean we have to go back up there?!!!!

Wait for me!

I am going to have a sit for a while when we get to the top!

Henry hasn’t been to the beach yet~
we’re leaving that for another day, as he gets bigger and stronger!~

~Henry was 15 weeks past last sunday and has suddenly developed long legs where before they were short and pudgy!
Harv has been great considering for the first few weeks he was alternately used as a pillow or had his ears and throat chewed as Henry had biting sessions when nothing was safe including all garden plants,shoes,fingers..!..~poor soul didn't know how to cope !
However that magic word "no" is getting a lot more attention now and he sits and stays beautifully, courtesy of Royal Canin Maxi baby dog biscuit which seems to have this smell that all dogs including Harvey love! ideal when used for tiny treats, brings Henry running! ~ plus he is walking off all that energy...but you are so right Lincslass they don't stay puppies very long......

I've only recently joined this website - and came across your blog today. Just had to let you know that our family have always been Boxer-lovers - and the first one we ever had, many years ago, was called Henry! This was about 50 years ago and I remember being soooo embarassed when my Mum told me he was to be called Henry. He was a bit of a fighter I'm afraid - but we loved him nonetheless. We always had two - a pup joining the older when it was about 4 or 5. We had Smith, Edward and finally Hadleigh. Unfortunately my Mum became too frail to cope with boxers and decided to move to Cavalier K. Charles. After her death we inherited the latest one - we love her dearly - but I still have such fond memories of the boxers.

Gosh he's grown Arlene! what a lovely place for walks too and how how wonderful that you can let him off the lead and he comes back! He's obviously very forward, probably well taught by Harvey:-)

Thanks Sandra and Sanbaz,Lincslass,Clarice,Lulu,Jane,Neellan and Dottydaisy2!
Hi Bornagain he is shooting up! He actually stays quite close to Harvey and is quite good at coming for treats (some of the biscuit mentioned above) and we try to stay as close as possible.
Hi Slimdil~we are originally from Northunberland and still have relatives in Ashington~ we had our first boxer when we living up there(Khan) and have had ,Browser,George, Magnum and Merlin(together)and our latest Harvey and Henry!
each different in temperament but totally Boxers!

Thanks Floribunda ~I normally get the first walk of the day in the woods and they both trot along the path, occasionally Harvey goes for a run and the little one rockets along after him as fast as his legs can go but he is growing fast ,he will be catching up soon!
~ I spend so much time in the garden stopping him eating my plants~I didn't know so many of them are supposed to be toxic to dogs!

Keep him off the poinsettia and the azaleas...

I know, it can be pretty scary can't it? I am lucky, Raff just munches on grass, but I am very aware of the dangers for inquisitive young pups... :~((

Also Devil's Ivy and, if it cames to that, cactus...lol.

Arlene, you've made the 'walkies' so much fun...sharing all your lovely photos. I am not a doggie person but I sure could love those two...fine specimens. Your commentary on the photos was like sitting on grandma's knee and listening to her tell a story. :)
