Ive got 3 for certain but now No. 3 is that crocosmia Solfatare or unripe rhubarb!!!
4 Oct, 2010
TT....I was thinking rhubarb (one not ripened..green...and one ripe...red) and then thought....na....it'll be some kind of flower or plant. I'll be pleased if rhubarb is amongst the photos.....then I'd get at least 1 right! lol
I can identify raindrops....does that help? lol

I thought rhubarb at first Whistonlass like you..red and green! Duh! But I think the red is a cordyline and the green is crocosmia, maybe an aquiligea and that funny shaped leaf has to b e a fig leaf! Never seen a leaf sooo much like a fig in my life! (got to say that..the other thought was unmentionable) hee hee hee!!
And that lovely blue ball thingy beginning with E..can never remember it but there's a variety called Steel Blue?

7 Oct, 2010
i think we did well betwee us all...he he he
7 Oct, 2010
I think the last one is a curry plant ~ and the reason i think that is cos ive taken pictures of mine with rain drops on, its amazing how they stay on such tiny leaves and i think they look beautiful.
actually even my washing line looked attractive with raindrops on!!!!
10 Oct, 2010
great idea, i didnt do very well but i enjoyed trying! can you do an easier one next time for the likes of me?
10 Oct, 2010
Stickitoffee....you have a curry plant? Have you found the odour from your plant to be unpleasant?
I visited a GC last week and lifted up one of the curry plants and it took me ages to rid myself of the smell...made me feel unwell actually. Do you use it for seasoning when cooking?
Just curious.....
10 Oct, 2010
Stoffee......will be doing another this coming week and it will be much easier, honest. Whiston do like curry? I do not use our plant for cooking it is purely ornamental.
10 Oct, 2010
DD....I do like curry if it is mild but the smell of the curry plant was just too much. I did discover the smell from the plant had transferred to my t-shirt so that was probably why it bothered me so much. Just weird, that's me! lol
I note you do not use it for cooking....any reason?
10 Oct, 2010
WL it is called the curry plant because of the smell, you cannot use it for cooking, in the summer the smell is intense it is not everyones favourite aroma lol
11 Oct, 2010
Whew....I didn't know it wasn't for cooking....strange as it was in with all the herb plants at the GC. Glad you told me as I think my friend, Daisy bought one of them...I must pass that on to her.
