**DONE AND DUSTED** BEFORE THE BAD WEATHER SETS IN!!

YOU MAY REMEMBER A MONTH AGO WE WERE THINKING OF TAKING UP A VERY OLD CONCRETE PATHWELL WE DID, OR TO BE FAIR OH DID……….HERE ARE THE PHOTOS..SORRY BUT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW!!

THIS WAS THE PATH, IT HAD STARTED TO CRACK (thank goodness) IT WAS OK BUT CERTAINLY NOT A FEATURE……

OH GETTING TO GRIPS…..IT WAS VERY THICK IN PARTS, BECAUSE THE GARDEN IS ON DIFFERENT LEVELS, AND THERE WAS LOTS OF RUBBLE UNDER THE CONCRETE, SO THERE WERE A GREAT MANY TRIPS TO THE TIP (LUCKILY FOR US ONLY DOWN THE ROAD)

SO THERE IT IS, ALL UP AND READY FOR THE GRAVEL….ETC.

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT, I AM SURE WE SHALL REFINE IT EVEN MORE IN THE SPRING, THE GRASSES WILL SPILL ON TO IT AND THERE WILL BE PEBBLES OF DIFFERENT SIZES UNDERNEATH THE PLANTS , THE SLEEPERS ARE MADE FROM CONCRETE, SO THEY SHOULD SEE US OUT LOL
HOPE YOU LIKE IT AS MUCH AS I DO, OH WORKED VERY HARD, IT WAS TIRING TO SAY THE LEAST, THAT IS ANOTHER JOB OUT OF THE WAY………NOW WHAT NEXT!!

That is very nice indeed. It seems to have given the surrounding plants a lift and made it very much lighter looking. Well done your OH. I think you should give him a rest now. My back aches looking at the thickness of that concrete.

What a difference. That looks loads better. Well worth all the hard work from your OH (and you as well I'm sure). I suggest you both now sit back, take a rest and enjoy it for a while.

that is such an improvement, love the gravel and slabs together and how you have included/continued it into the border, it really is a big job that you had to tackle and wow it has made such a difference, clever you two. :O)

The new path looks really lovely Dotty :)

Liking it very much! It's ever so fresh looking and brightens it up. As has been said makes the plants stand out more too.
I find that gravel escapes onto the lawn and is troublesome when mowing the lawn. I hope you've been pampering your OH after all his hard work :)

My, didn't he work hard ! It looks brilliant. Its the first time I've seen your garden and look forward to seeing more of it!

Oh yes!!!! Looks really good Dd, I do love a meandering pathway, you just have to take a wander to see what delights there are along the way. Well done to your hubby, it looks like hard graft.....

Oh my, Dotty ... that is just gorgeous ... so light and clean looking ... well done for the vision to create it and the manual labour too! I want one too! Michael says Peter should be resting and watching the cricket on TV now ... I think there may be some irony in there, judging by the England team performance ... :o(

14 Dec, 2013

Hello Shirley so glad you approve, you may tell Michael that Peter is enjoying a very well earned rest in front of the telly!! but unfortunately we cannot get the cricket!

15 Dec, 2013

Be grateful for small mercies then Dotty ... a dire performance by the England team so far! I went out for a couple of hours to leave M watching footie ... yawn!

15 Dec, 2013

I know how you feel...?
