I was all excited when my hubby said that he is building a greenhouse….he looked at me and said “No flowers just veggies”
Oh well, at least we are going to have fresh veggies early this year and in the winter months as well.
Day one:
Day Two:
Hubby needs to construct a door….
I will add picture when it is all finished.
I’m out there helping him every step of the way….so when I ask for my glass greenhouse he won’t have an excuse to say no.

Thanks Val, it was fun. It was drizzling and our shoes were full of mud but we got the job done. My little one had the time of his life.
I've sown seeds for organic tomatoes and they are waiting to be planted just need for the ground to dry a little so we can work it.
This lovely couple that I've met though my job sent me TWO tree peonies!!! They are planted in my garden...that was such a nice surprise.

thats very kind of those people to send you the tree peonies, just far to cold for gardening here,

It was chilly here today but I need to get things done. Next month I'm going to start cleaning the shops, pricing new stock and just getting everything ready for opening.
Yes, it was very kind of them....they are a lovely couple. I think I drove them crazy with my gardening ideas ;o)

Very nice - would like a greenhouse myself - no room now - looks like you'll have a lot of lovely veg :):)

Thanks Paul...we had a veggie garden last summer as well...
The greenhouse is more for having fresh veggies when the weather is too cold, like now. My tomatoes are being planted in a few days.

We had a quick put up greenhouse - but they just kept ripping - would love even a small sized one

Ha, and I was complaining to my hubby that ours is too small...
I think that if we have a good crop he will extend this one, he's already talking about having a second bee hive.

Brilliant greenhouse!! enjoy!

Cant help thinking of the song 'One step at a time' Alex. I'm sure you will enjoy it, and OH will soon want another one !!

Looking good, 'hubby needs to construct a door' made me smile! Are you sure he's not stuck in there? : o ))

It's amazing what a difference a greenhouse makes. The plants almost appear to appreciate the extra care. Good luck with your early veg.

Everything in the garden growing nicely Alex, little by little. Give yourself a couple of years and you will have forgotten what it looked like to start with! Well done with the greenhouse...and yes when it comes to yours.. softly softly catchee monkey as the saying goes..

I hope you get your greenhouse soon.

Paul, the honey that MY bees made for us is fantastic. There is only two 1kilo jars left.

Thanks Cinderella, that is the back of the property that we have done nothing with yet...the front is where I have my flower garden and my "Tetrapaths" are under construction!!!

Thanks Sanbaz, I keep showing him a lean on glass greenhouse that I saw in a magazine....He just looks at me now....probably thinking "oh my I can feel my bones aching"
5 Mar, 2011
Well Shirley if only you heard of how he's thinking of "contructing"this door......
Wait and see the picture when it's all ready.
I made sure to bring him home with me...lol lol lol

Thanks Expats....will add photo with veggies in the greenhouse.

Thanks Tet, this is not the flower garden with the soon to be finished "Tetrapaths" This area is way in the back. I've been taking pictures as I go for my "Flower garden Tetrapaths blog" (soon I hope) It needs to stop raining so I can get some serious work done. I keep dropping hints, I've learned to be patient with hubby....very patient because in the end he caves in!!!

Thanks Hywel, don't you like your veggies???
I think hubby's going to WANT to build me a greenhouse soon as a lot of the plants are living in my house this winter...

I used to like growing some vegetables, but am not able to handle the physical work involved now. I am only going to grow a few salady things in small pots.
Anyway I think they're boring lol.
5 Mar, 2011
I agree with you there Hywel, they are boring but I enjoy fresh veggies. We are buying organic fertilizer as well.
5 Mar, 2011
I like them fresh aswell .... I hope you get good results with the org fert :)

That's ok Crissue, it gives me a chance to have a look at my old blogs.
Veggies all nice and big now, we also have a veggie patch next to the greenhouse. We've been eating veggies from our garden and greenhouse a good month now.
My hubby even went and planted potatoes this year....oh they are yummy too. ;o)))
